Have a question? Take a look below for some quick answers. If your
question is not covered you can always email me.
We no longer automatically send out a download
email.
When you purchase a repair guide, pay attention to
the payment process. Upon completing your payment, you will see a
fairly obvious button that says "DOWNLOAD" on it. Its not huge ( its
not small either!), but if you aren't looking for it, and are
expecting an email to be sent, instead, you may end up glancing over
the download button. Its there!
Please, this is the payment information/ check out
process. If there's ever a time to pay attention to what you are
doing with your credit card online- its now! Right after you send
the payment, you'll be taken to a receipt screen with your invoice
number and the DOWNLOAD button.
Q: When I download the file and open
it, I receive an error. "WEBEXE is defective please contact the
author".
A: This is a common error. It happens when the file does not
fully download. Simply delete the old program and redownload the
program again.
Q: I can't fix my PS2/PS1/PSP/Dreamcast/Gamecube. I've tried the procedures
mentioned, its still not working!
A: If you were not able to fix your system this guide will at
least help you to identify your problem. Depending on your specific
circumstances you may need a replacement part or some type of
advanced adjustment. Your last resort would always be to have a
qualified professional physically look at your game system.
Q: I've tried MODDING my Game System. It won't power on. Will this guide
help me?
A: NO. Kick yourself in the ass, you just ruined a perfectly good
game system. We will not help you, nor do we condone installing and
using mod chips. Too many unknowns. Not many people have the test
equipment and resources to troubleshoot BGA components, even so,
replacing the main board chip(s) would simply not be possible for
most of our customers to do on their own.
Q: Will this program work on a MAC?
A: NO. This program is an .EXE file extension, only compatible
with IBM compatible PC's.
Q: What do I need to run this program?
A: You'll need an IBM compatible PC and that's it! Once you have
the file on your computer you don't need any other program to open
it or to get it to run. (this is NOT a PDF file!)
Q: How do I download this program to my computer?
A:
Step 1
Click on the download link
you received in your download email, or copy and paste the link into
your browser. You will be prompted to enter your username and
password.
Try copy and pasting them
into the fields if you have any problems. Username and Password are
both case sensitive. Does the password seem to long? Copy and paste
it in and it will fit just fine.

Step 2
Choose "SAVE" when prompted.

Step 3
Decide where on your
computer you would like to save the file.
Navigate through your
folders and choose a location you will recognize so that you may
later go back and retrieve the program after it is downloaded.

Step 4
Hit the SAVE button and the
file will download!!
Once this is finished
downloading, simply go back relocate the program on your computer
and double click to open it.

Q: How do I copy Playstation 2 Games?
A: I don't know, personally, I don't copy games or
movies. Visit PS2OWNZ.COM and check out
their online gaming forums. There should be more than enough
information there to get the ball rolling for you.
Q: Hey, can you help? I got this Playstation 2
system that doesn't read this, that, the other. I have not
ordered the repair guide.
A: Customers are priority, and I've got a lot of
customers. The product pages have all the information you should
need in regards to "is this covered in the repair guide". If the
problem is listed on the page then it is included in the
repair manual. If you are not a customer of ours,
bluntly and politely- good luck! We have plenty of assistance
emails sent out daily to keep us busy. Though, we'd like to help
every wondering soul with a broken PS2 we simply cannot.
Q: Hey, my Swap Magic Disk DVD/CD will not boot!!!
What gives!!?!!
A:
A problem I see with DVD Coder disks is the
way the disk is made leaves a gap between the layers of the disk,
which is visible if you look closely at the center spindle hole. 90%
of the disks I receive back work perfectly. Why? Because people are
not inserting the disk all the way onto the PS2 spindle. They leave
it off on one side, not pushed down all the way on one side,
ect.... Take your fingers and apply pressure around the spindle
hub to make sure the disk is on securely before attempting to boot
it. People
don't even think about it- they hastily slap the disk into the PS2,
it boots unbalanced because its on the spindle cock-eyed and
customers email me claiming the disk is defective.

Please make sure the disk is
securely, evenly, and completely on the disk spindle before
attempting to boot the disk.
Q: Shipping? How do you ship? When? How often?
A: All prices on all products have shipping
included. Keep this in mind when doing comparison shopping, as some
retail web stores offer competitive pricing, but then hit you with
$4-$6 additional dollars to have your order shipped. Standard
shipping is USPS first class mail. Lager items come with FREE USPS
Priority mail.
We ship DAILY.
Orders are shipped daily before 8am. If you order at
noon, your order will be in the mail the following day 8am. If you
order at 11pm, your order will be in the mail the following day,
8am.
Q: Free Shipping? How,
where? Upon checkout, I was charged for USPS Priority shipping.
A: On the checkout page there is a shipping drop
down form. Chose the "No shipping charge" See the picture
below. The option has always been there, most people do see it and
chose it. Free shipping is First Class mail (3-6 business days),
with delivery confirmation.

Q: Can you tell me when my order will ship?
A: Your order is in the mail within 24 hours of
placing your order. (most times your order is in the mail in less
than 12 hours!). There are almost no exceptions to this. If, for
some reason, I accidentally run out of stock on an item- I will
email you and let you know. Otherwise, assume your order is out as
advertised.
When your shipping label is printed, an automatic
email is sent to the email address you provide at the check out.
Q: Can you tell me when my package will arrive?
A: The USPS advertises First Class Mail as
taking 2-9 business days (First Class mailing we provide free) The
USPS advertises Priority Mail (we offer Priority mailing as an
upgrade option) as taking 2-3 business days.
Sundays and Holidays are not included. Factor this
in when calculating how many business days have passes since your
order was shipped.
Q: Its showing on the
tracking info you gave me that the status is "Electronic
Notification Received". But it does not show that the product has
been shipped. Is there a reason why you haven't shipped it yet?
Please let me know, thank you (this was an actual email to
me, and a very common one)
A: Its the USPS (United States Post Office), they
don't offer real-time tracking for first class or Priority Class
mailing.
"Electronic Notification Received"- will stay
there until the package has been delivered. The status will not
change until after the package has been delivered.
The USPS services we use don't offer
real-time-tracking. Anything less than express mail (very
expensive and not economical for me to offer) by USPS get a
simple electronic delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation,
though it may seem to be a source of tracking, is not. Delivery
confirmation confirms delivery, and the status of the delivery
confirmation does not update until after the package has been
delivered. If need be, I can look up the label and re-email out
a delivery confirmation number- but as I said before, delivery
confirmation will give you no useful information until after the
package has been scanned, curbside, upon arriving at the
customer's residence.
